Considering the global financial crisis, is it safe or even still possible to become an investment banker?

I’m a high school junior, and I’ve been considering becoming an investment banker. However, in light of the economic crisis, it’s looking pretty grim for investment bankers. Is it still a wise career choice?

Investment banking will never be the same. Sure they will be around, but intense financial regulation will never allow them to become instant millionaires. If you want to be rich, then this will not be a wise choice.
