What time of Investment banker works the most hours per week starting? How about the least?

I am just wondering…I am dying to become an investment banker. Thats my dream…I love there fast paced work style and want to have that businessman type job, like my dad….and also, how much do IB’s get paid?

The streets are full of unemployed experienced investment bankers. In this economy, nobody is doing new issues, although there may be reorganization financing. Goldman laid off 10% of its people last week. Lehman went out of business. Morgan Stanley is becoming a bank holding company. Are you sure you want this as a career?

If you are worried about the hours, you won’t make it. If the company is paying really big bucks, they feel that they should own you.
