Then the cowboy will have to raise his price until somebody is willing to sell. Every price in the market is a compromise between what the seller would really rather get (a higher price) and what the buyer would really rather pay (a lower price). And it shifts constantly.

1. A company sells stock to raise money to expand – perhaps to finance a factory
2. I’m sure there’re many more than two things they must agree to. A whole lot of issues such as access to financial statements and so on. Private companies don’t have to tell their business to anybody except the IRS.
